Nonfiction books tackling overwhelming subjects to make them easier for the reader

About

I’m an independent author and ghostwriter specialising in nonfiction books tackling overwhelming subjects to make them easier for the reader.I’ve worked in television, created an award-winning short film, and led a global publishing project that raised £10,000 for Haiti earthquake relief. I’m the author of This Post Reeks of ChatGPT, a practical 5-step editing framework for turning generic AI text into writing that's human. As a ghostwriter, I currently work with the head of a UK mental health organisation, helping shape clear, honest writing into a useful guide on a difficult subject.I’ve also lived as an international in Denmark for over 20 years. I’ve reinvented myself more times than I can count — from writer to photographer and back again, from employed to freelance to unemployed, from navigating the mental health system to raising a family in a country that wasn’t my birthplace. One thing I’ve learned through all of this is that people often start out trying to write the book they think they should write (me included!). Instead, what I have learned is to focus on discovering the book that needs writing. That’s the process I guide clients through when we work together either as a ghostwriter or a co-author. It’s also the approach I take with my own writing: honest, practical, no positive-spin bullshit.Right now, I’m writing a book about reinvention in Denmark, told through the real stories of internationals who’ve had to start over here. Later, I’ll be writing about mental health, fatherhood, and whatever else feels overwhelming and needs to be made less so.If you’re thinking about writing a book but don’t know where to start, reach out, and let’s talk about working together.

My CV Isn't Working in Denmark
(working title)

I’m writing a no-bullshit book about what it actually means to reinvent yourself in Denmark. I’ve met lawyers who’ve had to become cleaners or work in customer support. I’ve spoken with developers, engineers, and even journalists who had thriving careers before they moved to Denmark. And I’ve studied alongside other internationals who struggled to find work after learning the language and landing their degree.I’ve also seen parents like myself, happy to see your kids thrive while struggling yourself, because as an international, you’re often ignored, over-looked, and treated like a second-class citizen facing daily problems that Danes don’t see.If you’ve been through all of that, or are in the middle of it right now, I’d like to hear your story. I’m gathering these experiences to show what reinvention really looks like in Denmark, and what we can learn from it.Sign up for the newsletter to follow the project as it happens, get updates from the interviews, and find out how you can be part of the book.

pitch me

Most people don't struggle to write. They struggle to find the time to say what they mean clearly.
Here's how we can work together.

I can ghostwrite your book for you

Ghostwriting means we collaborate closely on your book — I do the writing, but it's your voice, your ideas, and your story. You're involved throughout the process, shaping the direction and content, but I handle the actual work of getting it onto the page. It's your name on the cover, and once the book is finished, all rights belong to you. This is a commissioned service where you pay me to write the book on your behalf.

we can co-author a book together

Co-authoring means we build the book together from the ground up. We'll openly collaborate on the structure, content, and voice, with both of us contributing to the writing process. When the book is published, both our names appear on the cover as co-authors. Instead of an upfront fee, we share in the revenue the book generates. This partnership works best when you have significant expertise, stories, or insights to bring to the project and want to be actively involved in the writing.
